Katrina
was born on July 16, 1984 in Hong Kong and she grew up in
London. She is paternally rooted to India, as her father is
an NRI, originally from Kashmir and her mother is English.
She started her modeling career at the age of 14 when she
was approached for jewelry campaign in London. She never looked
back then and started her full fledged modeling career there.
As she grew up, she was attracted to her father¡¯s
native land.
Being
an NRI, she was unable to speak Hindi, but when she started
her career in Bollywood, she worked hard on her inability
and learned the language to be perfect with the dialect. It
has also been reported that she even took rigorous kathak
dancing classes for 40 days, during which she has to dance
for 7 hours without a break.

Kaif is 5ft 8.5 inche tall and has an angelic look. She is
very beautiful with voluptuous feature. It was her sheer luck
that she met Kaizad Gustad in London, who offered her role
in his movie ¡®Boom¡¯, and that was her
debut Bollywood film.
Her interest
grew more towards Bollywood, and then she finally decided
to move to Mumbai to take up acting profession on permanent
basis, it is worth mentioning here that the moment she landed
in India, she was flooded with number of modeling assignments
and her dream of acting in Bollywood gradually fulfilled as
she bagged many interesting roles by different directors.
Initially, her voice was dubbed over by native speakers, but
it was changed after Hindi film Namaste London, where she
dubbed her own lines.
She has
paired well with Akshay Khanna, Govinda, and Salman Khan,
with whom she is said to be romantically linked. Her most
talked about films are Namaste London, Partner, Apne, Welcome
etc.
